About me
Cefin Campbell is a Plaid Cymru Member of the Senedd for the Mid and West Wales region, being elected in the May 2021 Senedd election. Since May 2024, Cefin has been the party's education portfolio holder.
Between January 2022 and May 2024, Cefin was one of the Designated Members in Plaid Cymru's Cooperation Agreement with the Welsh Government. As part of his work with the Agreement, he was partly responsible for securing ground-breaking policies such as free school meals for all primary school children, measures to tackle second homes, drafting the Welsh Language and Education Bill in order to give the Welsh language to all children and establishing Welsh history as a mandatory part of the curriculum.
Since the end of the Cooperation Agreement in May 2024, Cefin Campbell has been responsible for the Party's education portfolio, leading on policy development and being a spokesperson in the field.
